Responsibilities of Authors
Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their work is original, and proper credit should be given to sources and references used. Plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, is not tolerated.
Data Accuracy: Authors must ensure the accuracy of the data and results presented in their work. Any errors discovered after submission must be promptly communicated to the publisher.
Multiple Submissions: Submitting the same article to more than one journal simultaneously is unethical and must be avoided.
Authorship: All individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research should be listed as authors. All co-authors must approve the final article before submission.
Conflict of Interest: Authors should disclose any financial or personal relationships that could bias their work.
Animal Use: If the research involves the use of animals, authors must provide a statement confirming that the study has been approved by an appropriate ethical review board, following relevant guidelines, laws, and regulations regarding animal welfare. Any procedures involving animals must have been conducted with proper ethical consideration and respect for their well-being.
Misleading Information: Authors must avoid misleading information or misrepresentation of data. Any attempt to manipulate or falsify results, including selective reporting or omission of negative results, is considered unethical and will lead to rejection or retraction of the article.
Responsibilities of Editors
Fairness: Editors are responsible for ensuring a fair and unbiased review process, regardless of the author’s background or affiliation.
Confidentiality: Editors must keep all articles and related information confidential, only sharing details with reviewers or other relevant individuals.
Conflict of Interest: Editors must recuse themselves from handling articles where they have a conflict of interest, either financial or personal.
Publication Decisions: Editors must base their decisions on the quality, significance, and originality of the article, while ensuring its alignment with the journal’s scope and aims.
Animal Research: Editors must ensure that any article involving animal research has adhered to ethical guidelines and relevant laws concerning animal welfare. If applicable, the article must include a statement on the ethical approval for animal use.
Misleading Information: Editors should be vigilant against articles that include misleading or inaccurate information and should take steps to investigate any allegations of such misconduct.
Responsibilities of Reviewers
Confidentiality: Reviewers must treat articles as confidential documents and not share or disclose them without permission.
Objectivity: Reviews should be based on objective criteria, and personal criticism of the author should be avoided. Constructive feedback is encouraged.
Conflict of Interest: Reviewers should declare any conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from reviewing a article if a conflict exists.
Timeliness: Reviewers must complete their reviews within the designated timeframe and promptly inform the editor if they are unable to do so.
Misleading Information: Reviewers should be alert to any misleading, fabricated, or selectively reported data and bring it to the editor’s attention for investigation.
Responsibilities of the Publisher
Ethical Compliance: The publisher ensures that all articles adhere to ethical guidelines and strives to maintain high standards of publication integrity.
Corrections and Retractions: In the event of errors, fraud, or other ethical issues, the publisher will take appropriate action, including issuing corrections or retractions.
Transparency and Integrity: The publisher upholds a commitment to the transparency of the editorial process and will take necessary steps to prevent and address any unethical conduct.
Animal Welfare: The publisher will not accept any research that violates ethical standards regarding animal use. Any article that fails to provide appropriate ethical review and approval for animal research will be rejected.
Misleading Information: The publisher will take action against any article or published article found to contain misleading, fabricated, or falsified information, including issuing retractions when necessary.
Handling Ethical Violations
Investigation: Any alleged ethical violations, such as plagiarism, fabrication of data, fraudulent authorship, misleading information, or unethical treatment of animals, will be thoroughly investigated by the editorial team.
Actions: Depending on the nature of the violation, appropriate actions may include retraction of the article, notification to relevant institutions, or formal publication of the violation.
