Peer Review Policy
International Journal of Innovation in Pharmacy and Health Science (IJIPHS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and scientific rigor. To ensure impartial and objective evaluation of submitted articles, the journal follows a double-blind peer review process. This system upholds the quality, credibility, and academic integrity of the research published, ensuring that decisions are based solely on the content and merit of the article, free from biases related to authors' identities, affiliations, or reputations.
Double-Blind Peer Review Process
In the double-blind peer review system, both the identities of the authors and the reviewers are kept anonymous throughout the review process. This ensures that reviewers evaluate the article based on its scientific quality, relevance, and clarity, without being influenced by the authors' identity or institutional affiliation. Similarly, the authors remain unaware of the reviewers’ identities, allowing for unbiased feedback from experts in the field.
Submission and Initial Screening
Authors submit their articles through the journal's online submission system. To maintain anonymity, the article itself must not contain any identifying details such as author names, affiliations, or acknowledgments. Upon submission, the editorial team conducts an initial screening to ensure the article adheres to the journal's submission guidelines, relevance, and originality. This step includes plagiarism checks to ensure the integrity of the submission.
Reviewer Selection and Evaluation
Once the article passes the initial screening, the editorial team selects qualified reviewers who are experts in the subject area. The reviewers assess the article’s scientific rigor, originality, methodology, and overall contribution to the field of pharmacy and health science. They provide constructive feedback on the clarity, quality, and validity of the research, making recommendations for improvement or revision. Reviewers also evaluate the article for ethical considerations, such as conflicts of interest and adherence to research ethics.
Feedback and Revisions
Reviewers submit their evaluations to the editorial team, who then communicate the feedback to the authors. Based on the reviewers’ comments, the authors may be asked to revise the article to address any concerns, clarify points, or improve the quality of the work. The authors should submit a revised version of the article, along with a detailed response letter outlining how they have addressed the reviewers' comments. In cases where the article is accepted with minor or major revisions, the revised article will undergo another round of review.
Final Decision
After receiving and reviewing the revised article, the editor, considering the reviewers' feedback, makes the final decision on whether the article should be accepted, rejected, or returned for further revisions. The editor's decision is communicated to the authors, along with any additional reviewer comments.
Ethical Standards
IJIPHS upholds ethical publishing standards and encourages transparency in the review process. The anonymity of both authors and reviewers ensures that decisions are made impartially, based solely on the merit of the work. The double-blind process fosters a fair and unbiased review environment that is essential for maintaining the quality and credibility of the journal.
