Plagiarism Policy
The International Journal of Emerging Technologies for Mankind (IJETM) maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism to uphold the integrity and originality of its published content.
Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism involves using someone else’s ideas, words, or work without proper acknowledgment, whether intentional or unintentional. This includes:
- Verbatim copying of text from other sources without citation.
- Paraphrasing someone else's work without proper attribution.
- Reusing one’s own previously published work (self-plagiarism) without proper citation or permission from the original publisher, where applicable.
Plagiarism Screening
All submitted manuscripts are subjected to plagiarism detection software to identify similarities with existing published work. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 15% (excluding references, quotations, and formulae) will be flagged for review.
Consequences of Plagiarism
Minor Overlap: Authors are informed and required to revise the manuscript to address the overlap.
Major Overlap or Significant Plagiarism: The manuscript will be immediately rejected, and authors may be banned from submitting to IJETM in the future.
Post-Publication Discovery: Published articles found to contain plagiarism will be retracted. An official notice will be issued, and the article will be removed from indexing databases.
