Author Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in submitting the article to the International Journal of Computer Communication and Information Systems (IJCCIS). To maintain a high standard of scholarly publication, we have established the following guidelines for authors. We encourage you to read and follow these carefully to ensure your article is considered for review and publication.

Article Submission

All submissions must be made electronically via our online submission system.

  • Articles must be in Microsoft Word (DOC or DOCX).
  • All submissions must be in English.
  • The article must not have been previously published or submitted to another journal

Types of Articles

  • Original Research Articles: Full-length empirical studies, theoretical papers, and analysis (8,000-10,000 words).
  • Review Articles: Comprehensive reviews of literature in relevant fields (6,000-8,000 words).
  • Case Studies: In-depth analysis of specific organizations, businesses, or industry trends (4,000-6,000 words).
  • Short Communications: Brief reports on innovative methodologies, data, or findings (2,000-3,000 words).
  • Book Reviews: Critical assessments of recent books in the field (1,000-2,000 words).

Article Structure

  • Title Page: The title should be concise and informative. Include author names, affiliations, and corresponding author details.
  • Abstract: A structured abstract (max. 250 words) summarizing the research purpose, methodology, results, and conclusion.
  • Keywords: Provide 4-6 keywords for indexing purposes.
  • Introduction: Clearly state the research problem, objectives, and the relevance of the study.
  • Methodology: Describe the methods and procedures used in detail.
  • Results: Present the main findings of the research, supported by tables and figures.
  • Discussion: Interpret the results, linking them to existing research.
  • Conclusion: Summarize the key contributions and suggest future research avenues.
  • Acknowledgements: Include funding sources, contributions from others, and any relevant acknowledgments.
  • References: Use APA style for all in-text citations and references.

Ethical Considerations

  • Originality: All submitted work must be original, and the authors must ensure that the work has not been previously published or submitted elsewhere.
  • Plagiarism: All manuscripts are screened for plagiarism. Plagiarism will result in immediate rejection.
  • Authorship: Only individuals who have contributed significantly to the research and manuscript should be listed as authors.
  • Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that might influence their research.
  • Data Availability: Authors may be asked to provide raw data to verify their findings.

Peer Review Process

Articles submitted to IJCCIS are subject to a rigorous double-blind peer review process. The process is as follows:

  • Initial Screening: The editorial team reviews submissions for scope, format, and originality.
  • Peer Review: Submissions are reviewed by two or more independent experts. Both the authors and reviewers remain anonymous.
  • Decision: Based on reviewers' reports, the editorial team makes one of the following decisions: Accept, Minor Revisions, Major Revisions, or Reject.
  • Revisions: Authors may be asked to revise their manuscript and resubmit for further review.

The review process typically takes 6-8 weeks.

Article Processing Charge

For articles accepted for publication, Authors are required to pay an APC to cover the cost of peer review, copyediting, and hosting the article.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
